The Level 1 Foundational Practitioner Certification Training Program is a self-directed video-based program that provides an in-depth understanding of the 6 Conditions for Team Effectiveness Framework and Team Diagnostic Survey (TDS™). Developed at Harvard by world-renowned experts on teams and teaming–the 6 Conditions predict up to 80% of a team's effectiveness. The framework and approach have been used by more than 10,000 teams globally in a wide range of industries and at all levels of organizational systems.
This course focuses on how to Assess teams using the 6 Conditions Framework and the Team Diagnostic Survey (TDSâ„¢) and is led by Drs. Ruth Wageman, Krister Lowe and Melissa Sayer. The Level 1 Assess course is a pre-requisite for enrolling in our Level 2 Reimagine and Level 3 Coach training programs. On completion of the Level 1 program, participants will:
1) Internalize the evidence-based Conditions Thinking framework with an in-depth understanding of what drives team results.
2) Develop the know-how for assessing teams using the Team Diagnostic Survey (TDSâ„¢) as well as through interviews and observational methods.
3) Be enabled to administer a Team Diagnostic Survey (TDSâ„¢) using your own TDS Administration Account including 1 survey credit.*
4) Learn how to debrief a team leader on a
Team Diagnostic Survey (TDSâ„¢) report.
5) Learn 5 practical and dynamic techniques for debriefing teams using a Team Diagnostic Survey (TDSâ„¢) report.
6) Gain free access to the 6 Conditions Community of Practice Calls for expanding learning and deepening practice as a team development practitioner.
*Note: Team Diagnostic Survey (TDSâ„¢) credits are $650 USD per team (no limit on team size) once certified. This is the wholesale price for certified practitioners. Volume discounts are available for 10 or more units. The credit includes 1 full Team Diagnostic Survey as well as 1 Pulse Check Survey for conducting a repeat measure.

Dr. Ruth Wageman is a Co-Founder at 6 Team Conditions, is a leading scholar-practitioner on teams, a university lecturer at Harvard and Dartmouth, and the author of Senior Leadership Teams: What It Takes to Make Them Great. She is also one of the creators of the 6 Team Conditions Framework and Team Diagnostic Survey.
Dr. Krister Lowe is a Co-Founder at 6 Team Conditions, is a Social-Organizational Psychologist, a podcaster, and a team coach who has enabled leaders and teams in more than 30 countries around the globe. He is the Co-Editor of The Practitioners Handbook of Team Coaching and is best known for the Team Coaching Zone Podcast which he created and ran from 2015-2020.
Dr. Melissa Sayer is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of 6 Team Conditions, a thought leader & podcaster in the area of top team coaching, team learning & organizational learning.
